Hi again,
Sorry to be so long with this post but somehow I have had absolutely no time to do it. This is a review of Tuesday when we took the train from Zurich to Basel to go to the Design and Art fairs there. We got there right as the Design fair opened at 10 am and spent the next couple of hours looking at design but I must admit most of that was at Ornamentum Gallery and Galerie Antonella Villanova- two jewelry galleries.
How it looks entering.
Right at the front of the fair was Salon 94 which had some Karl Fritsch rings which we are having a good look at.
Then we went on to Ornamentum.
These 2 pieces caught my eye- one by Tehri Tolvanen and the other by Petra Zimmermann.

And a couple of others.
We moved on to Galerie Antonella Villanova who is from Florence and shows the Manfred Bishoffs I love.
Manfred Bischoff
Robert Baines grouping.
But of the design offerings, I have to say that the installation by Koichi Hara from Japanesque Gallery in San Francisco was the most thrilling to me. Thes images really can't capture their strength and power but try to use your imagination.

Then a few others I liked: Ugo Rondinone.
Mystery artist.
Hans Op De Beeck
Rebecca Horn
El Anastsui
Matthew Monahan and Andra Ursuta
Arlene Schechet
Anyway, I only had a little more time at the fair and I was fairly distracted at this point so I only saw a few more things worth adding in.
Mark Bradford
Joan Mitchell
Louise Bourgeois
Marina Abramović
Jumped on the 4:07 train back to Zurich for an early dinner at Kronenhalle again with the baby chickens, french fries, rösti, and spinach. But first, we had the line up of drinks- white wine, Lady Killer, Manhattan, and Aurora.
That's all for now. Off to sleep.
Hugs,
Susan
