Hi,
Yesterday I spent most of the day at the Messe which is a large hall devoted to the world of German crafts and in the back of the booths set up by many craftspeople is Schmuck. In this area is a display of work chosen by a curator.... this year it was Helen Britton and Frame, a group of galleries surrounding the Schmuck display. This is something I always look forward to seeing. I love interacting with the galleries and artists who are there. It is so enjoyable. I will try to give you a sense of it.
First- Platina Gallery is showing the AJF Young Artists award winners.
Mallory Weston
Marion Delarue
Cong Ma
Patrick Decker
Taisha Carrington
L to R- Sofia Bjorkman from Platina Gallery, Michael and Karen Rotenberg
Michael and Karen are the inspiration behind the Young Artists Award. They are very supportive of young artists who are doing interesting work and their collection is made up mostly of those artists.
Next, I went into the Marzee Gallery booth only to run into Marion Fulk who was trying on a really outrageous necklace amongst other things.
Marion trying on a clever Rezael Elman
Marion trying on the outrageous fabulous necklace by a jeweler I can't remember

They were also showing a new... made up of old single necklaces ... piece by Otto Kunzli related to Italy.
Next, I ventured into the Schmuck exhibit itself. I'll just show a bunch of the cases without comment on the description. If you have a question email me. Sorry, the photos are not very good but it is impossible to get good images into the cases.
Miki Asai
Coco Sung
These are new very different pieces by Carina Shoshtary

Bettina Dittleman - I bought this one.

Marzee Galerie carries this work but there weren't any pieces there today - I want one
Here are a couple of other pieces under consideration:
That's all I have time for this morning.
Hugs,
Susan
