Tieton 2022

 Hi,

I drove up to Tieton to go Apple picking at Sharon and Craig Campbell's farm. I have been to this event twice before and enjoyed it a lot. There is something so authentic about picking apples right from the tree and eating them on the spot. They are all so different in flavor and texture. I never would have guessed but then I am not the highest level of a connoisseur. Anyway, it was fun. And it was enjoyable to have Colette, Eric, Desi, and Ella- my niece and her family come along this year.

It is hard to get a feeling of the day from looking at the images but try to imagine a beautiful warm but not too hot and dusty day with a group of maybe 40 people all having a fun time there in the fresh air picking apples. There was laughter and good cheer all around.

First, you will see some of the landscape on the drive from Sisters to Yakima. Along the way is the beautiful and impressive Columbia, Then I stopped at Stonehenge, which is a tribute to soldiers who died in WW I, It is on the Maryhill property. Then on to the Maryhill museum.

Then I spent the night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Yakima and then the next day went to Tieton for Apple picking. Here are the photos of the event as it unfolded. We are all riding on flatbeds pulled by tractors.
