Munich Day 3

Hi again,

Ok so this was the first real day of insanity. Seeing too much and without enough time. Which also means not enough time to write much to you. But I will try.

The morning was lovely - a bit of blue sky peeked though but still crisp and cool. Beautiful.

View from the hotel room window

Breakfast again the same but this time you see the end and not the beginning.

At the entrance to the Messe (the place of the jewelry show) is a big craft fair as only the Germans can do it. Felt slippers and accordions but also this year lots of clothing like these two.

Then comes the first booth Platina. Sofia Bjorkman is the young dealer who shows not only her own artist work but also the AJF award winners.

Then on to Galeria Ra where I see the first thing I want to get from a young jeweler named Elwy Schutten. The largest one in the middle is the one I have my eye on. It is made of soapstone and silver with gold plating.

Then to Galerie Marzee where I always see a lot that I like. This year the special show is with Otto Kunzli, Dorothea Prühl, and Robert Smit.

Then on to Galerie Rosi Jaeger with new variations by Bettina Dittlemann on a brooch, I got last year. These two are held together by magnets.

Atty Gallery is showing here for the first time. She is from Thailand and shows wonderful fresh work. Look at that headpiece her assistant is wearing. It is in constant motion.

Ok now I must stop but I have only send half of the images I have for today or less so tomorrow I will try to get up early and continue.

Hugs,

Susan
