Hi,
With a little extra time this afternoon I am hoping to get this out a bit earlier.
We visited two fantastic studios today. The first was Johanna Dahm who gave us an enlightened talk about her work in the courtyard of her studio.
Then there was a group that reflected the colors it was sitting on.
Then there was a group of silver and gold pieces she got from the bank or coins that she shot through with a bullet so it made a hole just finger size. I got one of these of a coin but I don't have an image. Sorry
Next, we went on to the studio of Bernhard Schobinger- one of my favorites. He was very gracious to the group and I think everyone was amazed by his jewelry. His house has a very Japanese feeling.
I especially liked this necklace made of keyholes.
This necklace is made of coins cut in half and then enameled.
We came back to the Ameron Hotel by bus dropping Linda Peshkin and Lynda Slayen off at the Lindt factory on the way.
This afternoon and evening are free so I am taking time to do this blog and then we are going to dinner at Kronenhalle - a famous Swiss hotel where early 20th century artists hung out back in the day. I am very excited to go there again.
Thanks again for your responses to this blog. Please excuse me if I don't reply to you. I really don't have the time but know that I see them and am happy.
Love,
Susan
