Hi,
Today's adventures were brief. We only went to two places. The first was the Pierre Huyghe exhibition called Liminal and the second was a visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum where we could view her permanent collection.
First lunch by the pool at the hotel.
Then a boat trip from the Cipriani which you see below to the Punta della Dogana.
St Marks ahead
Liminal means: Occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold. So that is what the show was about. It was a hard show to see literally - it was so dark in the space.
The first piece was a 35-minute video of a woman's body moving and changing from light to dark, standing to lying down, and all the spaces in between.
Then there was the little part human part monkey figure doing things in a kind of trashed environment.
These aquariums followed.
I don't know what to say about this. Any suggestions?
Or this.
Ok, take a breath, get out of the dark, smoke, and liminal spaces and arrive with me at the Peggy Guggenheim museum.

Ok, that is all I have time for today. I have to rush off to the Biennale with our guide Valentina.
Until the next time.
