Hi,
Here are the rest of Saturday's adventures. We went to the Zeitz Museum of African Contemporary Art, an amazing building designed by Heatherwick Studio. It was an old silo building near the docks and the architect cut out the silos to allow space for the lobby and the exhibition spaces. The only way you have to understand the images I am showing you of the building by looking carefully at the mock-up below.
We saw two shows that were beautifully installed and had unusual topics. The first one by Tuån- Andrew Nguyên was about sound and the spirit.
The next one was a story told by Rita Mawuena Benissan about her father who was a king. So it involves all the things that are included in the making of a king. He is chosen by a council of women and sits under an umbrella on a special stool.
So this is the end of Saturday's adventures and I will begin to prepare Sunday's now. Maybe I will get out part of the day later. Hope you enjoyed it.
In the meantime have a wonderful day. Sending you love and good wishes.
Susan
